An informed source said:
“The 38 years old was married and father to two girls. He was a farmer. On the day of the incident, he wanted to water his sheep when he got into a fight with three people about the water. During the fight, they wanted to take Mohammad’s weapon when the gun accidentally fired and one of them dies. Mohammad Javanmard really wasn’t intending to kill anybody and the person’s death was an accident.”

Since in many cases, the executions are announced to up to several months later or are not made public at all, the real figures are much higher.
“No to Prison – No to Execution” condemns death sentences for any reason and under any pretext and emphasizes that it must be stopped.
Iran has the highest number of executions in proportion to its population.
