Another crime added to the criminal regime’s black sheets: On Wednesday, June 10, 2020 Hedayat Abdollahpour’s family got informed was secretly executed.
When his family went to the Implementation Unit of the Urmia Judiciary, they were told that their child’s execution was carried out 20 days ago.
Neither his family nor his lawyer were informed about the execution.
On May 9, 2020, the political prisoner was transferred by special guards to an unknown location. Sources state that he was cuffed by hands and feet.
Hedayat Abdollahpour was detained along with dozens of other people on June 15, 2016 after a clash in his village in Qarah Soqol in Oshnavieh, where he was subjected to severe torture.
Due to clashes with the IRGC, he was sentenced to death in February, charged with collaboration with the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan.
His death sentence was approved on September 23, 2018.
Hedayat Abdollahpour was married and father to two children named Sirvan and Kurdistan.
“No to Prison – No to Execution” strongly condemns this great crime committed by the Velayat-e-Faqih judiciary. We call on all international organisations to conduct a seriously face the Iranian government in this regard.
The head of the Iranian judiciary, Ebrahim Ra’isi, and Khamenei must be brought to justice immediately for committing these crimes.
