Daily Brief of Human Rights Violation in Iran January 12, 2021, news obtained by the Human Rights Center of No to prison, no to execution on the human rights violation in different cities of Iran during the past 24 hours.
Marivan- Following the arrest of locals of Marivan another citizen, Zaniar Motamedi was detained and taken to an unknown location. He was beaten and there was no warrant for his arrest. The reason of the detention is not known.
Tehran- Paniz Gorji, sister of the slain student who lost his live in the Ukrainian Airliner crash says: “We all only hope for justice. It is for a year that we wake up in wrath not believing what happened…I hope that nobody would experience what we suffered during this year. They are putting the names of the victims on children. We don’t accept this.”
Tehran- On January 12, Navid (Reza) Mihandoost a writer and director was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison in Tehran. He was detained late fall, last year and was freed on bail from Evin Prison.
Karaj- Political prisoners, Arsham Rezaee and Mohammad Abolhasani confined at Rajaee-Shahr Prison were deployed to branch 26 of Revolution Court for a new case opened for them. Arsham is charged with “acting against national security” and “helping the families of political prisoners”.
Marivan- Jabar Piroozi and Slaman Advaee, two locals of Marivan were detained by security forces. Jabar was transferred to Sanandaj after detention and so far the reason of his arrest is not known. The reason of arrest for Salamn Advaee is not known either but the security forces have confiscated his personal belongings such as laptop.
Behbahan- Nima Dahnud and Ahmadreza Ansarifar, from Behbahan were detained by security forces on their way home. The two were first taken to the city’s prison and from there to an unknown location. Nima Dahnud is 17 and Ahmadreza is 21. Ahmadreza Ansarifar is the uncle of one of the martyrs of November 2019 nationwide protest, Farzad Ansarifar.
Ardebil- Mayam Jolani and Ali Khairjoo, Turk activists were condemned to an overall sentence of 8 months in prison and 40 lashes. The decree is imparted to them.
Tehran- On Tuesday January 12, branch 60 of Tehran Province Revision Court sentenced Hadi Mehrani, active in Telegram to 3.5 years suspended prison term. He is charged with “blasphemy”.
Mahabad- On Tuesday January 12, security forces in Mahabad County detained Iman Abdi and Sooran Hosseinzadeh locals of this county and took them to an unknown location.
Karaj- On Tuesday January 12, Alborz province security agents detained Baha’i citizen, Tina Alavi (Enayatipoor) and took her to an unknown location. She is deprived of having a lawyer and her other civil rights for a fair judicial process is violated.
