Daily Brief of Human Rights Violation in Iran April 18, 2021 news obtained by the Human Rights Center of No to prison, no to execution on the human rights violation in different cities of Iran during the past 24 hours.
Rasht- Political and exiled prisoner Atena Daemi, confined at Rasht Lakun Prison is deprived of any furlough amid coronavirus pandemic. Her father, Mr. Hossein Daemi, posted on his page on Saturday April 17, 2021, saying that they have met her at the prison behind windows and expressed his concern of the spread of this virus at this prison and her daughter not being granted a furlough.
Tehran- Ghazal Masoom-Shahi, a student activist from Amir Kabir University is sentenced by Tehran Revolution Court to a 1.5 years in jail and a 3 million tomans fine on charge of tweeting about the downing of the Ukranian Airliner by the IRGC missiles.
Tehran- Civil activist, Majid Rezaee is sentenced to 9 months in prison. In addition to that he has to work for free for three months for Tehran municipality. He must also participate in Qom’s Mava psychological course. He is charged with propagating against the Nezam
Baneh- Following a chase by security agents, a Kolbar (border porter) fell off a cliff and lost his life. His name was Hiva Qaderi and was from Sardasht. The body of this young Kolbar was carried by the locals to a medical center.
Piranshahr- After a member of IRGC was killed in Piranshahr, the security organs arrested a woman and her child. She is Galaleh Moradi and her son is Matin Bazzaai.
Tehran- Political prisoner, Mohammad Turkamani, is serving his 5-year term since mid-winter of 2021, at the Great Tehran Prison. He was first sentenced to 15 years in prison which 7.5 years of it was executable according to article 134 as the highest sentence. In revision court it was commuted to 5 years in prison. He is charged with offending Khomeini and Khamanei and propagating against the Nezam.
Kashan- Three locals of Kashan County participating in a party were detained when the agents of the headquarters of Promoting the Virtue and Prohibiting the Vice interfered and a clash took place. They are not identified yet.
Baluchistan- Five Baluchi citizens detained by security forces about 16 years ago, though proved innocent are still under detention at Bam Prison. It is said that the warden has admitted that they are innocent but in fear that they might complain against the security forces, he refrains from releasing them.
Marivan- On Saturday April 17, 2021, two locals were summoned to Marivan County’s Intelligenc Bureau and were interrogated. They are Othman Farahmand, 24, son of Khosro and Omid Faraji, son of Ablollah.
Marivan- On Saturday April 17, 2021, three locals were summoned to Marivan County’s Intelligence Bureau and were interrogated. They are Mohammad Just, Mohammad Parvazeh and Mohammad Arzhangi. They are all from Ney Village of this county. They are charged with cooperating with dissident parties.
