Daily Brief of Human Rights Violation in Iran April 24, 2021 news obtained by the Human Rights Center of No to prison, no to execution on the human rights violation in different cities of Iran during the past 24 hours.
Karaj- Received reports on April 24, 2021, says that the coronavirus has widely spread at Saloon 10 of karaj Central Prison. Having in mind the shortage of sanitary gears, medication and medical treatment, the spread of the disease to other crowded saloons looms death over many at this prison.
Shahrood- Milad Nazeri and Seyyed Shobair Hosseini Nick, student activists are sentenced by Shahrood County’s Penal Court No.2, Branch 101 to 36 lashes. According to their Mohmammad Ali Kamfirozi, their lawyer’s post on tweeter the two are charged with “participation in spreading lies with the intention of disrupting public opinion through Shahrood Industrial University Islamic Association’s channel”.
Kurdistan Province’s cities- According to the figures registered at the Kurdpa human rights organization’s census center. Shows that in month of Farvardin of Persian year 1400 (March 21, 2020- April 20, 2021) 83 years of jail sentence has been issued against Kurd citizens on the whole.
A decree for 15 years in jail against three Kurd citizens from Piranshahr; Najmeddin Sokhanvar, Shooresh Abdollah Nezhad and Salah A’ji is upheld at the revision court.
Karaj- A signatory of the letter demanding Khamenei’s resignation signed by 14 civil activists, Abdolrasool Mortazavi was taken to Rajaee Shahr Prison’s solitary confinement. He is sentenced to 26 years in prison on various charges from which 11 years is executable as the maximum prison term.
Irak- Two inmates charged with “offending the prophet” confined at Irak Central Prison are sentenced to death being tried in a common case.
One of them is Yousef Mehrdad from Adebil and the other is Seyyed Sadrollah Fazeli Zare.
Yousef Mehrdad is father to three kids. He was detained at 6 am of May 24, 2020, at his residence in Ardebil and was transferred to Irak for interrogation. He was confined for two months at solitary confinement and was deprived for eight months from having access to a lawyer or even calling his family. He was eventually taken to Irak Central Prison after his interrogation was over.
Makoo- IRGC Intelligence agents murdered a Kurd citizen in one of the villages close to Makoo County.
Tehran- Evin Courthouse has issued a 500 million tomans bail for the release of civil activist, Somayeh Kargar. A person close to this detained activist said that her family were not able so far to provide such a heavy bail. Somayeh Kargar, a Kurd citizen from Ilam and a graduate of philosophy from Tabriz University, was detained on October 16, 2020 by IRGC Intelligence agents at her residence in Tehran.
Saravan- It is for two weeks that a great number of fuel proters are stuck at the Saravan border without food and water as the IRGC has closed the entrance point to the country.
