Daily Brief of Human Rights Violation in Iran March 31, 2021 news obtained by the Human Rights Center of No to prison, no to execution on the human rights violation in different cities of Iran during the past 24 hours.
Urmia- Two Kurds, Anvar Chaleshi and Kamel Saydun Maskan (Jabbarvand) from Mergoor region are in a state of limbo at Urmia Central Prison. The two were charged with “membership in a Kurdish party” on Monday February 8, 2020, at branch 6 of Urmia Revolution Court, interrogation branch.
Baneh- A Kurd from Baneh, Jalil Khodaee was detained by security forces without having any warrant and was taken to an unknown location.
Semnun- Hasan Jafari husband of political prisoner Maryam Akbari Monfared says that his wife’s exile to a prison in Semnun was illegal. He added that the decree for exile was for Gohardasht Prison in Karaj (close to Tehran) but after Alborz Province was formed, the female political prisoners were removed from Gohardasht Prison.
Karaj- The new warden for Gezel Hessar Prison, Kamali, is imposing inhuman and harsh rules making the inmates work as slaves and the profit will go to the pocket of the prison authorities and Prisons Organization; in this manner, he tortures the inmates.
Tehran- According to the received news, a catastrophe is taking place at the Great Tehran Prison due to the pandemic and other diseases and the inmates receive no medical care. During 16 days starting on March 15, 2021, seven inmates have died of coronavirus and other special diseases due to lack of medical gears and care.
