Daily Protests and Rallies in Iran April 18, 2021 news obtained by the Human Rights Center of No to prison, no to execution on protests and rallies happening in different cities of Iran during the past 24 hours.
Retirees; nationwide protests- According to a call, the retirees and pensioners of the Welfare Organizaton in various cities of Iran, gathered in protest on Sunday April 18, 2021. In Tehran the protest was staged in front of the Welfare Organization and in other counties in front of the General Bureau of Welfare. The cities included: Isfahan, Karaj, Tehran, Ahvaz, Kerman, Bojnoord, Shoosh, Bandar Abbas, Dezful, Qazvin, Kermanshah and Behshahr.
In Tehran the SSF (Social Security Force) clashed with the retirees and detained a man and two women. They are not identified yet.
The retirees chanted: “We will not stop until we gain our rights”, “we heard many lies, witnessed no justice” and “we will not vote, all we heard is lies”.
Ardebil- On Saturday April 17, 2021, The Literacy Movement teachers of Ardebil Province with a history of 10 years, gathered in protest in front of the General Bureau of Education of the province. They have passed the tests but they are not hired yet.
Ilam- On Sunday April 18, 2021, ousted workers of Ilam Gas Refinery’s Mianat unit gathered in protest in front of the governor’s office.
Vais- On Sunday April 18, 2021, municipality workers of Vais City not receiving their wages for five months gathered in protest in front of the municipality’s building.
Urmia- Local reports says that bus drivers in Urmia are staging a strike action to protest the hollow promises given to them by the officials of the city and the province.
