Daily Protests and Rallies in Iran April 26, 2021 news obtained by the Human Rights Center of No to prison, no to execution on protests and rallies happening in different cities of Iran during the past 24 hours.
Tehran- On Monday April 26, 2021, retirees and pensioners of Homa Airline gathered and marched to protest the lack of equalization of wages based on government’s ratification.
Ahvaz- The strike action of workers of Kut Abdollah Municipality continued today. It is for two weeks that they are on strike as they are not receiving their wages. The municipality claims they have been paid. The garbage is piling up throughout the city.
Khuzestan- The protest of the workers of power maintenance of water and sewage facility as well as air conditioning departments of the General Bureau of Sailing and Ports in Khuzestan continues. Two of their colleagues have been harassed for seeking their rights, one of the is banned from entering his workplace and the other is not allowed to go to work anymore.
Retirees and pensioners; nationwide protests- On Sunday April 25, 2021, retirees of the Welfare Organization staged their protest gatherings at least in 14 cities of Iran including Kermanshah, Karaj, Broojerd, Qazvin, Irak and Tehran to achieve their demands and rights. They chanted: “We will not stop until we gain our rights”, “we will not vote, all we heard is lies” and “We only achieve our rights by taking into the streets.”
Bushehr- On April 25, 2021, a group of invoice holders of sold cars gathered in protest in front of the Judiciary building of the city as they have not received their cars.
Tehran- On April 25, 2021, workers of GoldIran Industry went on strike and gathered in front of the entrance. There are receiving low wages, not being paid for their over-workhours, being forced to work more than working hours and the negligence of the managers in regard with their constant demands.
Bandar Abbas- 30Wives of the municipality workers of region 3 in Bandar Abbas gathered in protest to the non-payment of their husbands’ arrears by their managers. They gathered in front of the Hormozgan governorate. In fear that their husbands might be threatened to be fired if they protest, these women staged the protest gathering.
Bushehr- On Sunday April 25, 2021, shopkeepers at Melat, Lian and Jam malls in Bushehr gathered to protest the closure of their shops due to coronavirus pandemic. They demanded the shops to be opened again. They announced that if they do not receive an answer within one day, they will stage another protest gathering.
Tehran- On Sunday April 25, 2021, some nurses gathered in front of the Judiciary building to protest the fact that the law for tariffing nursing is not executed. Also they protested against the fact that their job is not categorized as a hard and harming job.
They chanted: “Nurse! cry out for your right”, “Social Welfare betrays us and the Judiciary supports it,” “Our job being categorized as a hard job is our right.”
Shahr-e-Kurd- On April 25, 2021, the shopkeepers in Shahr-e-Kurd gathered in protest as their shops are ordered to be closed amid pandemic but they are not receiving any aid from the government.
