Daily Brief of Human Rights Violation in Iran April 29, 2021 news obtained by the Human Rights Center of No to prison, no to execution on the human rights violation in different cities of Iran during the past 24 hours.
Karaj- In front of people’s eyes, the suppressive SSF forces battered a father and son in Haidar Abad region. Some of the forces were ready to shoot and bullets were fired too during this beating.
Tehran- In his Instagram page, Reza Shahbi, a member of Tehran and Suburgs Vahed Bus Driving Workers Syndicate wrote: “It is for a while that unknown people text me and my wife with two different number through WhatsApp and text messaging and threaten us. In the text they have threatened me, my wife, son and daughter to death.”
Shiraz- In his twitter account, Saeed Afkari, the brother of the slain wrestler Navid Afkari wrote: “Our family holds all factions of the Islamic Republic as criminals. As Navid’s blood and all the unjust bloods that have been shed are witness to that. This government has no legitimacy and the nations has showed that time and again with its blood in January of 2018, summer of 2018, and November of 2019.
We have no hope in Islamic Republic Judiciary’s justice as it is the main element of crime against Navid, Vahid and Habib (his other two brothers now in jail). In fear of the revelation of the truth, they have kept my brothers for more than 230 days in solitary cell. They have even opened cases for those who have showed their sympathy to us and have harassed them.”
Karaj- In a letter to Javeid Rehman, the special rapporteur of UN, political prisoner Arash Sadeqi has disclosed pressures imposed by the security organs on the families of political prisoners including opening false cases, harassing their kids, confiscating their salary and other belongings. This political prisoner has announced that in addition to the mass executions in 1988, the bodies of some of the Kurd and Arab (political) prisoners including Zaniar and Loqman Moradi, Ramin Hossein-Panahi, Jasem heydari, Ali Khasraji, Hossein Sailavi and Nasser Khafajian have not been handed over to their families in recent years.
Urmia- in Urmia, security forces have detained two Kurd juveniles; Armin Ahmadi and Nima Hasanpoor without complying to legal requirements in dealing with offenders under 18. They are taken to an unknown location.
Kerman- On April 28, 2021, the prosecutor for the capital of Kerman Province announced that 10 citizens have been detained in this province for being “anti-revolution and atheist elements”. They have been arrested on Judiciary warrants and their files are under scrutiny at Judiciary organs. The report does not mention their names.
Urmia- A villager, Nima Hosseinpoor from Gonbad Village of Urmia County is detained by security forces and taken to an unknown location.
Shiraz- following the detention of some Baha’i citizens and searching of their houses in Shiraz on Wednesday April 28, 2021, two Baha’i citizens; Vahid Dana and Saeed Abedi were detained at their residence.
Tehran- When Alieh Motalebzadeh, photographer and a women rights activist confined at Evin Prison serving a two-years term filed a complaint on Monday April 26, 2021, against keeping inmates at solitary cells, she was deprived of right to call. She filed the complaint at the prosecutor’s office at this prison.
Karoon County- Six doctors from Karoon County are sentenced to two years of free visiting and reporting visits of 100 patients to the Executive Branch of the Decrees, a substitute punishment for a year in prison that they each were sentenced to.
