Daily Brief of Human Rights Violation in Iran May 26, 2021 news obtained by the Human Rights Center of No to prison, no to execution on the human rights violation in different cities of Iran during the past 24 hours.
Birjand- The names of six detainees executed at Birjand Prison on Tuesday May 24, 2021, on narcotic related charges, five of them Baluchies, are: Javad Nakhaee son of Ali, Mohammadreza Harati, Reza Azarian, Rohollah Rigi and Alireza Farsi. The sixth inmate was from Mashhad, Reza Asadi.
Execution in Iran- The number of executions carried out by Iran regime since the onset of Persian new year (March 21, 2021) has reached 40, at the minimum. Since May 22, in a four-day-time at least nine have been executes, more than 2 persons per day.
Evin Priosn- In the evening of May 25, 2021, political prisoner, Mozhgan Kavoosi a Kurd researcher and writer from Kelardasht confined at Evin Prison on hunger strike, ended it after 10 days. To protest the discrimination in granting furloughs executed by the prison’s authorities had started a hunger strike on Sunday May 16.
Tehran- Two felons in Tehran were sentenced to death on separate cases by Tehran Province Penal Court No.1.
Borazjan- Six Bahai citizens from Shiraz and Borazjan; Borhan Ismaili, Ms. Maryam Bashir, Ms. Faranak Sheikhi, Ms. Hideh Rum, Ms. Mino Bashir and Dorna Ismaili, are condemned to overall sentence of 73 years and six months in jail by Dashtestan (Borazjan) County Revolution Court.
Sanandaj- A Kurd citizen Kamal Azizi 27, was detained upon his presence at Sanandaj Intelligence Bureau. Kamal is from Shian Village and was summoned on Tuesday May 25, 2021, by a call to this bureau. The reason of arrest and the charges against his is not known.
