Daily Brief of Human Rights Violation in Iran May 3, 2021 news obtained by the Human Rights Center of No to prison, no to execution on the human rights violation in different cities of Iran during the past 24 hours.
Mahriz- An offender is sentenced to 74 lashes in Mehriz. The Public and Revolution Prosecutor of Mahriz County in Yazd Province announced that a member of the county’s council is sentenced to lashes beside other punishments. The name is not announced.
Bukan- Samkoo Maroofi from Bukan is sentenced to a year in prison and a two-year ban from leaving the country. Mr. Maroofi was detained in late winter of 2021 by security forces in Bukan. He is charged with propagating against the Nezam.
Shiraz- Parviz Barzoo and Shamila Arabzadeh who were detained in late summer of 2020 along with four others by security forces for converting to Christianity are spending their prison term at Shiraz Adel Abad Prison. Mr. Barzoo is sentenced to eight years and seven months in prison and Ms. Arabzadeh to three years and three months in prison.
Tehran- Javan Online Website reported that three culprits charged with robbery are sentenced to lashes beside other punishments.
Kamyaran- Farooq Qazi, 24, was detained in Kamyaran County by security forces and taken to an unknown location. The reason of arrest is not known and he is deprived of the right to access a lawyer.
Minab- An inmate, Kamran Rastakhiz, lost his life at Minab Prison to coronavirus. The spread of this virus has surged in Bandar Abbas and Minab.
Piranshahr- After 17 days passed detention of Matin Bazzazi a 14-year-old youth from Prianshahr by security organs, there is no news of his faith. Matin Bazzazi was taken to an IRGC security detention center in Urmia and has not called his family yet. The efforts of his family have been in vein.
Hamedan- Tasnim news agency affiliated with the IRGC quoted the head of Hamden IRGC public relation that eight people have been detained at this province. Ali Akbar Karimpoor said that they were active in an Islamic mysticism cult and had “illegal activities.”
Tehran- On May 2, 2021, simultaneous with the Teachers Day a group of labor and teachers’ activists as well as lawyers and civil activists gathered in front of Karaj Prison calling for the freedom of Ismail Abdi (teacher), jailed laborers and political prisoners.
