Baluch citizen, Mansour Kohrazehi was executed in month of Muharram at Zahedan Central Prison.
Quoting Resanak Network, the human rights center of “No to Prison-No to Execution” reported that on Saturday, August 28, 2021, a Baluch citizen, Mansour Kohrazehi who was sentenced to death on charge of murder was executed at Zahedan Prison.
He was arrested and sentenced to death for murdering his uncle.
It is said that his grandfather and father did not give their consent for his release.
The execution of this citizen is not echoed in any of the official media.
As the issuance of death sentences continues in the Judiciary system of Velayat-e-Faqih and it doesn’t stop, eventually in cases of murder, the judiciary holds the family of the victims responsible for these executions (as they don’t pardon the killer). Islamic Republic’s Judiciary tries to put the blame of violating international laws on the families of the victims by this manner.
This is while a death sentence is in violation of international laws and According to Amnesty International more than two thirds of the world’s nations (144 countries) have revoked the death sentence or don’t execute it in practice, but the execution machine in Iran speeds up on daily basis. With Ibrahim Raisi becoming the president and Eje’ee as the head of the Judiciary, the execution of death sentences has speeded up.
The execution of this citizen is not echoed in any of the official media’s.
Counting in the execution of this Baluch citizen in Zahedan Central Prison, the number of executions since the onset of Persian year 1400 (March 21, 2021) reaches at least 131 persons.
The human rights center of No to Prison-No to Execution calls for complete revocation of this inhuman punishment. Death sentence is the most inhumane, brutal and mortifying kind of punishment; it violates the right to life, recognized by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
