Human Rights Violation in Iran in brief; Wednesday, August 4, 2021, obtained by the human rights center of No to Prison-No to Execution:
Kerman- At dawn of Wednesday, August 4, 2021, an inmate, Farzad Afsordeh was executed at Jiroft Prison in Kerman. He was charged with murder.
Kermanshah- Amnesty International reported that Sajjad Sanjari, 15 years old at the time of his detention, was covertly executed at dawn of July 24, 2021, at Dizel-Abad Prison. His family were not informed of his execution.
Karaj- At dawn of Wednesday, August 4, 2021, Mojtaba Tondroo was executed at Karaj Central Prison after serving 17 years in jail. He was once before taken to quarantine section to be executed but was tortured physically and mentally and then was returned to the ward.
Baneh- Mohammad Qadami a political activist from Baneh announced through a voice message that he has been summoned. He said that this morning, August 4, 2021, someone by the name of Abdolmaleki has called him from the police station No.13 in Baneh and told him that the warrant for his arrest has been issued by Nader Sa’adati Ajarloo, the assistant prosecutor of Branch No.3 of Baneh’s justice department and has been sent to him.
Amnesty International- Pointing to Ibrahim Raisi’s inauguration Amnesty International wrote that crime against humanity had its heavy shadow on the inauguration of Ibrahim Raisi as Iran’s president. It also announced that he must undergo criminal investigation for his role in crime against humanity both in the past and in present time and in relation with 1988 massacre (of political prisoners).
Uraman- At dawn of August 2021, IRGC forces at Zhalaneh Post located in the border heights of Uraman have confiscated the belongings of 45 Kolbars (border porters). They have thrown down one of the Kolbars, Abdolbaset Marivani, from Ganavara Crag down.
Urmia- On Wednesday, August 4, 2021, inmate Ibrahim Nasiri-Khah who was sentenced to death on narcotic related charges was taken to solitary confinement to be executed.
Sardasht- In the evening of Tuesday, August 3, 2021, a Kurd citizen, Ali Abdollah, was severely wounded when IRGC forces shot at him close to Sardasht border. He was taken to a hospital at Qaladarzeh City in Iraq’s Kurdistan for treatment.
Sanandaj- Journalist, Morteza Haq-Bayan, residing in Sanandaj County, was sentenced to 2.5 years in jail, 90 lashes and paying fine by the city’s criminal court. Formerly in relation to another part of his case he was sentenced by Sanandaj Revolution Court to three months of suspended jail term. The case was opened for him brcause he had criticized the actions of authorities.
Behbahan- On Tuesday, August 3, 2021, Mehran Tayyebi, Mohammad Tayyebi, Ali Tayyebi, Mohammad Shokri, Amir-Reza Tayyebi, Siavoosh Khalili, Meqdad Tayyebi and Ahmadreza Tayyebi from the Great Kurdistan Village were detained at their residents and taken to unknown locations. Their homes were simultaneously searched and some of their personal belongings confiscated. It is said that they were beaten at the time of their detention.
Tehran- Mis. Nahid Taqavi, Mis. Somayeh Kargar, Mis. Bahareh Soleimani, Mis. Nazanin Mohammadnejad and Mr. Mehran Raof were collectively sentenced to 38 years in prison by branch 26 of Tehran Revolution Court. Their trial was held on April 27, 2021 and June 12, 2021 at this branch. Ms. Elham Samimi another defendant of this case was also tried then.
Urmia- Nayed Hajizadeh Yangjeh, Keyhan Mokaram Anbi and Nayeb Askar, political prisoners were sentenced each to three months in jail and 50 lashes in a new case opened for them by the criminal court No.2 of Urmia County. They had protested the beating of Nayeb Hajizadeh by two prisoners of ordinary crimes.
