The execution machine moves fast
Three executions in Isfahan and Qom under the rule of “triangle of death”; Khamenei, Raisi and Eje’ee, shows that the execution machine moves fast.
According to the human rights center of No to Prison-No to Execution on August 5, 2021, three inmates charged with narcotic related crimes and sentenced to death were executed in Isfahan and Qom prisons. Arsalan Karimi was executed in Isfahan, and Mohammad Hasan Aqdami and Ibrahim Afrushteh were executed in Qom Prison.
Hengaw human rights organization that published the news for the first time wrote that on Monday August 2, 2021, inmate Arsalan Karimi was executed in Isfahan Prison on narcotic related charges.
Mr. Karimi was from Hersin County, Kermanshah Province.
He was 33, married and father to two children. He was detained for carrying 96 kg of Morphine in Isfahan and was sentenced to death by the Judiciary.
Also at dawn of Wednesday, August 4, two inmates, Mohammad Hasan Aqdami and Ibrahim Afrushteh were executed at Qom Central Prison. The two shared a case of narcotic crime and were sentenced to death.
Iran Human Rights Organization wrote: “These two inmates were detained six years ago and were sentenced to death. Mohammad Hassan had a child. He was taken to solitary confinement for execution once in the last year and once a few months ago but was returned to the ward; the reason not known.
None of these executions is announced at the official media.
Adding these three executions in prisons of Qom and Isfahan, the number of executions since the onset of the current Persian Year (March 21, 2021) has reached 115. This is while many executions are covertly carried out and there is no news of them on any of the state-run media, thus the real number of executions is higher.
Since the beginning of the current Persian Year at least 59 inmates have been executed on narcotic related charges.
