Rasht Lakan prison- Political prisoner, Hamzeh Darvish, referred to the psychological and physical pressures and tortures in the prison.
Addressing Mr. Javaid Rehman, he called for his voice to reach international and human rights organizations as a political prisoner.
The human rights center of “No to Prison-No to Execution”; September 19, 2021- Hamzeh Darvish, a political prisoner imprisoned in Rasht’s Lakan Prison, published an audio file, reading with his own voice a letter addressed to Javaid Rehman, the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran, referring to the persecution of and pressure on political prisoners. The political prisoner called on all media and human rights organizations to voice him and other political prisoners.
Hamzeh Dervish, a political prisoner imprisoned in Rasht’s Lakan prison, wrote in his letter to Javaid Rehman: “I know that I have written many letters to you so far, but unfortunately, the instances of the injustices and oppressions of the terrorist regime of the Islamic Republic led by murderer Khamenei are so many that I have to break my silence and write to you again.”
In his letter, Hamzeh Dervish announced the continuation of the ban on visitation with his family, despite the announcement of being removed from the banned list and his parents coming to prison and wrote:
“For about six months, they have banned me for unknown reasons and even sometimes prevented me from making phone calls to my family until a few days ago they announced that you had been removed from the banned list and that my family could come to prison for visitation. But when my parents came to visit, they were not allowed to visit for several consecutive times as usual. Their goal is persecution and psychological torture of my family.” Hamzeh Dervish also pointed to the psychological torture of the families of political prisoners by Khamenei’s agents outside the prison and said, “The Intelligence Organization of Gilan Revolutionary Guards and the Gilan Intelligence Directorate have turned our best friends, relatives and acquaintances into our enemies by threatening and exerting psychological pressure and terror in the society. Mercenaries and agents get closer to the family in a variety of ways to achieve their evil goals.”
“There are many political prisoners who are subjected to the harshest tortures and conditions in prisons, but their voices cannot be heard because they are not able to communicate,” the political prisoner said.
Political prisoner Hamzeh Dervish wrote at the end of his letter: “In general, my goal in writing this letter is for you to know what illegal, and inhumane tortures which are even in oppose to Shari’a, this terrorist regime of Velayat-e-Faqih is imposing on the political prisoners and their families. I appeal to you to mention the crimes committed by the terrorist regime of the Islamic Republic, including those inflicted on political prisoners that you obtain, in your interviews, reports and international meetings so that the nature of this terrorist regime would come even more to light than ever before for the international community.”
Hamzeh Dervish called on all popular media and human rights organizations to make his and other political prisoners’ voices to be heard.
