The wave of arrests in Kurdish cities continues with the number of detainees reaching 28, till this report.
News has emerged of the continuation of the wave of arrests in Kurdish cities; 28 detainees have been identified so far.
According to the human rights center of “No to Prison- No to Execution”, quoting Kurdish human rights media on November 13, 2021, following a wave of arrests in Kurdish cities, including Baneh, Saqqez and Marivan, the names and details of 28 detained citizens have been obtained.
On Friday, November 12, Marivan intelligence forces stormed the village of Ney, in Marivan and arrested at least six citizens, Mohammad Ahmadi, Farid Derakhshani, Keyvan Minouei, Edris Bahramian, Abdorrahman Eshtak and Abdorrahman Afshar.
Intelligence agents simultaneously arrested three Baneh citizens, Saeed Qaderi, Kordo Hosseinpour, and Ali (unknown family) after they were summoned to Baneh Intelligence Directorate.
On Friday, a citizen from the village of Pir Omran in Saqqez, Ayoub Minaei, and on Thursday two other citizens from the same village, Saumaun Khosravi and Jamal Azizi, were arrested.
Earlier, two other citizens were arrested in the village of Melqrani, Saqqez, Abdullah Mahjour and Mohammad Mahjour.
In addition, the names of 14 citizens arrested in Baneh were published before: Salah Pezeshki, Rafiq Pezeshki, Manaf (Vafa) Pezeshki, Behzad Pezeshki, Karim Pezeshki, Abu Bakr Pezeshki, Loghman Pezeshki, Ahmad Pezeshki, Farhad Pezeshki, Farzad Pezeshki, Arsalan Pezeshki, Kamran Pezeshki, Jamal Morovvati, and Osman Mohammadpopr.
In this way, the number of detainees in Kurdish cities has reached at least 28.
It is worth noting that intelligence agents used drones to identify and detain citizens. They have also beaten and insulted families in attacks and raids on citizens’ homes. They have also taken away some of the belongings of these citizens with them.
Many people are reportedly forced to leave their homes to stay safe. They are spending the nights in the mountains despite the cold weather.
According to the Hengaw report, those arrested in the cities of Saqqez, Baneh and Marivan have been transferred to Sanandaj Information Directorate’s detention center, but there is no news of their faith so far.
There is also no information about the reasons for these arrests.
