Political prisoner Forough Taghipour and her mother were on February 24, 2020, transferred to Evin prison for interrogation.
She is currently confined in Qarchak prison in Varamin and has been repeatedly threatened to death by the head of the prison. Forough Taqipour was born on May 10, 1994. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She was arrested on February 24, 2020, along with his mother, and was transferred to Evin Prison, Ward 209 and was interrogated and tortured. Two months after her arrest, she was transferred to Qarchak Prison in Varamin.
Political prisoner Forough Taqipour was repeatedly threatened and pressured by intelligence agents to make televised confessions and repeat the words dictated to her by the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS). She was also threatened with death by interrogators and ordinary prisoners incited by the prison warden.
On Tuesday, January 6, 2020, Forough Taqipour and her mother were tried by Judge Mohammad Reza Amouzad Khalili at Branch 28 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court on charges of “propaganda against the state and assembly and collusion through membership in the Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MEK/PMOI).”
The judge threatened Forough Taqipur with the charge of “Moharebeh (enmity with God).” However, she denied the accusation and said she was innocent and refused to accept such a charge. In return Judge Amouzad threatened Forough Taqipour that she will be summoned to court and interrogated there.
The political prisoner was sentenced to five years in prison by Judge Amouzad.
In late summer of 2021, Forough Taqipour was transferred to the Shahr-e-Rey Interrogation. She was threatened there that a new case will be opened for her for propagating against the regime in prison.
The political prisoner is currently imprisoned in Qarchak Prison in Varamin deprived of her rights without access to basic facilities. This political prisoner has been repeatedly threatened by agents hired by the head of Qarchak prison.
