Execution of the death sentences, regardless of the nature of the crime, and the personality and characteristics of the perpetrator, is a violation of the right to life and the most cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment and is a gross violation of international law. According to government agencies and the media, many of the killings have no reason other than poverty and institutionalized corruption in society, which is caused by the very government that issues and executes death sentences.
