Baluch prisoner executed in Khash prison on inhumane sentence of Qesas despite the efforts of his 80-year-old father and human rights activists
A Baluch prisoner was executed at Khash Prison.
The human rights center of “No to Prison- No to Execution” quoting Resanak news website, on Saturday, March 12, 2022- Baluch prisoner Alam Yarahmedzehi was executed at Khash County Prison on murder charges.
Alam Yarahmadzehi from Sohrab Zehi (Mir Gol Zehi) tribe was a 48-year-old, son of mansoor and a native of Khash County. Yarahmadzehi was transferred to quarantine section by khash prison officials yesterday and his sentence was carried out at dawn today.

Alam Yarahmadzehi
The Baluch prisoner was sentenced to death on murder charges. Repeated attempts and appeals by his 80-year-old father, as well as the efforts of the public, and human rights activists, failed to prevent the inhumane execution.
Despite all these efforts and requests, the victim’s family refused to forgive the Baluch prisoner, according to the report. In this way, once again, under the title of “Qesas (or Qisas = equal retribution)”, the unforgivable crime of execution of a human being was put on the victim’s family.
The inhumane “Qisas” law involves the victim’s family in the process of killing another person sentenced to death by order of the judicial system. By preserving such conditions, the judicial system places the victim’s close relatives in a callous state, diminishes human characteristics and, over time, diminishes the value that society should place on the right to human life. ( Amnesty International 25 November 2022) Considering the execution of this Baluch prisoner in Khash Prison, at least 73 people have been executedsince the beginning of 2022.
