Political prisoner Fatemeh Mothanna returned to Evin Prison on the order of Amiz Vaziri despite dire health condition and her children becoming homeless
The human rights center of “No to Prison- No to Execution”- On April 3, 2022, political prisoner, Fatemeh Mothanna was returned to Evin Prison on the order of prosecutor’s assistant for Evin Prison, Amin Vaziri. According to a communique, she should have introduced herself to Evin Prison on April 3, 2022, and the transfer is done.
The return of Fatemeh Mothanna to Evin Prison is while she is seriously ill and cannot be treated in prison. On the other hand, the house where her old mother and her two children live has been confiscated by the Executive Headquarters of Khomeini’s Orders and her family is becoming homeless.
Fatemeh Mothanna’s husband, political prisoner, Hasan Sadeqi is also confined at Gohardasht (Rajai Shahr) prison since 5 years ago.
Political prisoner, Fatemeh Mothanna is suffering from intestinal infection and cannot tolerate prison as she has served many years in prison. Due to the improper food and other challenges, she had faced in the Islamic Republic of Iran’s prisons, she is now suffering from Ulcerative Colitis and liver problems. She has been transferred to hospitals time and again having high fever and severe pains.
According to the physicians, this 53-year-old political prisoner should not be under stress and become nervous. Fatemeh Mothanna has gone unconscious time and again in prison because of severe pain. The doctors had increased her medication dosage several times and had announced that she will not benefit from her treatment while she is in prison as she must not be under any stress.
the Executive Headquarters of Khomeini’s Orders has ordered the confiscation of the house of the imprisoned couple where their children live. Their house is to be confiscated and its belongings were thrown out into the street.
In January 2022, the Headquarters for the Execution of Khomeini’s Order told the children of political prisoners Hasan Sadeqi and Fatemeh Mothanna that a decree for their house’s evacuation has been upheld by the Revision Court and they have to evacuate the house.
Sadeqi’s family objected to the confirmation of the confiscation order, saying that the court had ruled that “the house belonged to us”. But the headquarter has told the family that there has been a Revision Court session that ordered the evacuation.
Fatemeh Mothanna was arrested in 1981 when she was not more than 13 years old. In prison, she faced the execution and murder of her brothers by the agents affiliated with the dictatorial regime of Velayat-e-Faqih. She was released after several years in prison and was arrested again in 2015 along with her husband, both of whom were sentenced to 15 years in prison.
