According to the Iranian Human Rights Center, citing the report of the Haalvash news agency on Monday, August 22, 2022, in a mass execution in Arak prison.11 prisoners executed in a mass execution in Arak prison on Sunday, August 14, Wednesday, August 17, and Thursday, August 18, 2022. 10 of them sentenced to death for drug charges and one for murder.
Mass execution of 11 prisoners
Names of those executed: Morteza Soltani from Arak, hall 15 of Dar al-Qur’an, Ahmad Abdi Nasab Arak from hall 2 of Dar al-Qur’an, Hossein Sadeghpour from Arak hall 9 of Dar al-Qur’an. Milad Badrkhani from Arak hall 17 of Dar al-Qur’an.Hossein Ganji (uncle) from Arak hall 5 of Dar al-Qur’an, Ahmad Naseri from Arak, hall 1 of Dar al-Qur’an. Vahid Musa Khani (Loli), 40 years old, from Arak and arrested in 2020. Mohammad Mashhad al-Kuba (Qara), 32 years old, from Arak, arrested in 2018. Ahmed Marzban was a resident of Azna city in Lorestan province, Mehdi Nokarmi was a resident of Khorram Abad, Hall 3 of Darul Qur’an.
There is no information about the identity of the prisoner accused of murder.
According to this report, on August 14, 2022, 4 of these prisoners, who were drug suspects, executed. Their names are Vahid Musa Khani (Loli), 40 years old, from Arak and arrested in 2020. Mohammad Mashhad al-Kuba (Qara), 32 years old, from Arak, arrested in 2018, Ahmad Marzban, a resident of Azna Lorestan, Mehdi Nokarmi, a resident of Khorram Abad from hall 3 of Dar al-Qur’an.
On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, 6 of these prisoners executed, and their charge was drug possession.

It is worth mentioning that on Wednesday, July 27, in a report, Amnesty International warned about terrible wave of executions in Iran and demanded to stop it.
In this report, also Amnesty International warned against the accelerated process of executions and announced that the number of executions will soon exceed the total of 314 executions recorded in 2021.

Execution also includes activities that are permissible according to international human rights laws and should not be criminalized or prohibited by law. Including consensual sex between people of the same sex, sexual relations outside of marriage.And also expressing opinions that may be considered “insulting the Prophet of Islam.” to be Ambiguous crimes such as “warfare” and “corruption on earth” are also punishable by death.
